Mosidi Street closed for sewer pipeline upgrade in Ikageng

Mosidi Street in Ikageng is temporarily closed as infrastructure upgrades are underway. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use alternative routes while the municipality installs higher-capacity sewer pipes to meet growing demand.

Mosidi street in Ikageng has been temporarily closed.

According to Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, this is due to ongoing infrastructure upgrades.

“The project involves, the replacement of existing sewer pipelines with larger capacity 160mm pipes to imprrove flow and meet the increased demand. We kindly urge all motorists and pedestrians to make use of alternative routes during this period,” Tshite said.

The work is expected to be completed by July 12.
