LETTER: Councilors should forfeit salaries

I'm sure that all taxpayers in Potchefstroom can see that our City is falling apart.

I’m sure that all taxpayers in Potchefstroom can see that our City is falling apart.

IT is time that we put our feet down and demand that service delivery be brought up

to date. We can’t just sit back and allow our City to fall apart.

Our councilors should assist us by giving their salaries back each month which

amounts to about R1 200 000.00 per month. This could then be used to improve our service delivery and once up to date they are welcome to receive it again.

The merger of  Ventersdorp and Potchefstroom is costing taxpayers a fortune just about all the budget  goes for revamping a broken down town. The government promised to assist but nothing has come of the promise.

In the history of Potchefstroom we have never seen this situation of poor service delivery.

We hope this does not fall on deaf ears.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
