Potchefstroom’s Olën Park will now also be hosting some of the country’s biggest football matches over the coming months as the Premier Soccer League’s new promoted Jomo Cosmos have officially made this traditional rugby venue their second home.
Cosmos will be playing a number of matches at this venue in the coming Absa Premiership season and will also use it as a training facility. Their first league match at the ground will be on 23 August against Golden Arrows.

This deal was confirmed yesterday at a press conference held at the stadium as Cosmos, one of the country’s most esteemed football clubs, have partnered with Tlokwe City Council and the Leopards Rugby Union to host big time televised matches at this venue.
Newly promoted Cosmos unveiled their intentions for success in the Absa Premiership this season with coach and founder, Jomo Sono at the helm of this new venture for the team.
