The Potchefstroom Military Sports Club situated in the Potchefstroom Military Base opposite Potchefstroom Mediclinic offers participation in an array of 16 sporting codes, ranging from athletics to walking.

The combined membership total of 1 044 shows that the welfare and health of soldiers are taken seriously and that sports play a vital role in the daily life of the soldiers’ force preparation.

To recognise the achievements of these members, the annual Potchefstroom Military Sports Club (PMSC) sports awards function was held at the beautiful Willows Garden Hotel in Potchefstroom on Wednesday, 10 February 2016.

This prestigious function was successfully hosted, once again, by the management committee of PMSC and Brig. Gen. HJ Stroebel, controlling authority and Lt Col N Hartzenberg, the president of PMSC handed out the awards to deserving members.

The various category winners were as follows:
