North West’s Junior Underwater Hockey sides have a lot to celebrate after another brilliant performance at the SA Championships from 10-12 March 2016.

As expected, the teams made their coaches, Pamela Mackor and JD Aucamp proud at the Wahoo Aquatics Centre in Sandton – the home of Gauteng, their greatest opposition.

Both ladies and boys u.19 A teams received silver medals. The boys u.19 team was unlucky to miss out on a podium position with a hard-earned fourth place. The developmental team also did well if one takes their experience into account. Their third place was definitely more than its weight in gold, as James Botha walked away with the developmental player of the tournament award.
