Anneke Bosch, Lizelle Lee and Sinalo Jafta, were selected for the Protea     women’s squad for their tour to Australia. This is a fantastic achievement for the North West women who put in a lot of hard work. Lee also scored a magnificent 102 (89) for the Proteas women against Australia in the third ODI at the North Sydney Oval.

* A valiant half-century from Tazmin Brits (78) could not get the North West Women’s cricket team a victory against Boland at Senwes Park on Sunday as they succumbed to a final ball defeat. Boland got the 4-wicket victory in a close contest with Sunnete Loubser’s 41 leading the way for the visitors. North West’s best bowler was Evodia Yekile with 2/31 in four overs.
