André Malan was at the forefront of another dominating Seeff North West Dragons display with a majestic 123* as he guided his team to a comprehensive 133 run win against South Western Districts (SWD) in a CSA Provincial One Day Cup match at Senwes Park last Sunday.

Malan hit 10 fours in his 144 ball knock and was the rock that the Dragons’ 260/6 was built on. Johannes Diseko also hit four sixes in a little cameo of 44* that came in very handy as it shifted the momentum to the home team.  This was carried over into the bowling attack as the Dragons ripped through SWD  leaving them at 50/6 after 18 overs.

The main destroyers were once again Malan with 2/15 in 8 overs and Diseko with 2/28 in 10. In the end, SWD could only reach 127 all out.

North West also kept their unbeaten run in the Sunfoil Three Day Cup with a three wicket win over SWD.

This win puts them on the second spot on the log with six wins and four draws from their 10 matches.  Janneman Malan’s 106 and Isaac Dikgale’s 77 helped them to the win. SWD’s Glenton Stuurman caused a few scares, though, when he took 6/35 in the second innings.
