On 26 May, the Potchefstroom Army Support Base hosted one of North West’s most prestigious Golf Days at the Potchefstroom Country Club in the North West Province.   This annual event is aimed at generating additional funds to upgrade and  improve facilities in the unit that cannot be upgraded or maintained with state funds.

The shotgun announced the tee-off of the two ball better ball scramble drive at various holes at 11:00.  The teams  were divided into other teams, with only the sponsorship groups playing together as a team. The golf day was an opportunity to build relationships, network and market the businesses to the rest of the army and community members in the Potchefstroom region. The organisers extended a big thank you to the sponsors that made this event possible: Sanlam (as the main sponsor), Bokone Meats, Spur, Sunbake and Jenny internet, to mention just a few.
