South Africa’s neighbours from up north, Botswana, made the trip down to Potchefstroom last weekend when both their national men’s and women’s rugby teams were in action.

The men’s team took on the Leopards Platteland team while the women competed against the Leopards Women’s side. These two crunching encounters delivered spectacular rugby on Youth Day (16 June). The Botswana women won their match 22-10, after taking a 12-5 lead at half-time.
The Botswana men’s team, however, slumped to a 39-19 defeat against a determined Leopards Platteland side.
