A young Potchefstroom Central School swimmer, Scarlett Botes has taken part in various swimming galas and has excelled with some fine performances recently.
She took part in a Level 1 gala at Leone College, where she achieved 1st place in the u.8 for 50 m Freestyle, 50 m Backstroke, 50 m Breaststroke and 50 m Butterfly.

She received a 2nd place in the u.9 100 m Breaststroke and 100 m for the Individual Medley and 3rd place for the 100 m Freestyle.
At the Mooirivier Prestige Gala, where she received four first places, Scarlett was the best u.9 girl swimmer and received the Junior Victrix Ludorum.
At the North West Championships, she took second place in the u.10 200 m Individual Medley and u.10 50 m Breaststroke.
