Local grappling academy wins national competition

CGA’s Christiaan Enslin took first place in the 88–98 kg division. Armando de Crescendo (77–87 kg), Michael McIntyre (66–76 kg) and Damon Simpson (under 65 kg) all took third places.

Potchefstroom’s Coalition Grappling Academy once again proved they are one of the top MMA grappling clubs countrywide when they won the adult division of the prestigious Victor Grappling Competition.

Most of the top grappling clubs in South Africa participate in this monthly competition. CGA’s Christiaan Enslin took first place in the 88–98 kg division. Armando de Crescendo (77–87 kg), Michael McIntyre (66–76 kg) and Damon Simpson (under 65 kg) all took third places.

Roevan de Beer from CGA said he was satisfied with the overall achievement, but added that some fighters could have taken first places if they had attended all the competitions throughout the year.
