The North-West University (NWU) has picked a top squad of talented players for this year’s Varsity Netball tournament that starts on Sunday, 21 August. The team will need to be at their best in their first match against the defending champions, Tuks.
Elsunet du Plessis will once again coach the squad with goal attack and new Proteas call up, Jessica du Plessis captaining the side from Potchefstroom. Didintle Keebine will act as vice-captain and will bring much needed pedigree and experience to the side in the middle of the court.

Caitlinn Rousseau, Lucy Strydom and Elmeré van der Berg will also look to rack up the points for their side up front. Former Gimmie, Martiné Jordaan is an exciting prospect to look at in defence.
Wing attack, Londeka Buthelezi will look to continue her good form from two seasons ago. The squad also sees eight newcomers who will feature in their first Varsity Netball tournament.
