Bench press competition tests the strongest at Sports Arena Gym

Robert Haman took first prize completing 22 reps of 116 kilograms each.

Sports Arena Gym recently held an in house bench press competition to see which members could do the most reps using their own bodyweight. This well attended competition took place on Friday, 28 January where a number of competitors took on the challenge.

Robert Haman took first prize completing 22 reps of 116 kilograms each. Sabata Diatleng hit an impressive 19 reps of 80 kilograms to take second place, whilst Chandry du Toit managed 18 reps of 83 kilograms each.

According to Charles Stewart, owner of Sports Arena Gym, the gym intends to host monthly competitions to test and challenge members.
