NWU 1 are the 2021/22 Wohnen/Top Paints NW Club Cricket Premier League champions after a superb season where they pipped NWU Ibbies by only four points.
Both NWU sides were only on the losing side once during the season, but Ibbies’ tie against Potch Dorp ultimately ended their chances at taking the title in end.
Potch Dorp 1 ended the season in third place. JP de Villiers of Travelling Reefs was the top wicket taker with 34 wickets in only 11 matches.
Ibbies bowler, Frederik Kotze took 33 wickets. Jared Fuchs of NWU Ibbies was the top scorer during the season with 556 runs under his belt. Carlo Erasmus (NWU Taurus) scored 547 runs. Potch Dorp’s Van Zyl Smit also impressed with 537 runs during the season.
