Boys High and THS Potch lock horns in Classic Clash

Since 2006, THS has won seven titles, Boys’ High, six and, once, in 2011, they shared the trophy.

The rivalry between Potchefstroom Boys’ High and THS Potchefstroom will continue in the 2022 FNB Classic Clash at THS this Saturday, 14 May.

These two rugby rivals will once again battle it out for bragging rights for the first time since 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The two captains are ready for battle!

It has been a long, three-year wait for both schools, and they will want to hold the trophy aloft.
Potch Boys’ High’s first rugby team is the current champions, after beating Tegnies by 49–15 at home in 2019.
The boys in white will want to regain the title on home soil just like they did in 2018 when they took victory on their home turf by a 28–7 margin.

Katleho Molapo (Potchefstroom Boys’ High first team rugby captain) and Thato Kambanja (THS Potchefstroom first team rugby captain) are ready to battle for possession of this Classic Clash trophy.

Historically, the FNB Classic Clash between these two schools has been a tight and engaging affair.
Since 2006, THS has won seven titles, Boys’ High, six and, once, in 2011, they shared the trophy.

Katleho Molapo will captain Boys’ High from the outside centre, while THS openside flanker, Thato Kambanja, will lead his side.
THS and Potch Boys will lock horns in the main match at 11:30.
