The NWU women’s football team will represent North-West at the Sasol National playoffs after achieving a 4-1 win against The Bold and The Beautiful Ladies from Huhudi Vryburg.
It was a busy Tuesday (11 October) for the NWU ladies who also took part in the Varsity Women’s Football tournament in Johannesburg.
The squad was split for the two games with one part of the team taking on The Bold and the Beautiful Ladies in Mahikeng.
The NWU Varsity Football squad started their campaign with a 3-3 draw against the University of Limpopo. Noluthando Mhlontlo, Lerato Monate and Vonisiwe Maswanganyi scored for the NWU.
They ended their tournament this week with a 3-0 loss against UJ and 4-0 defeat against Tuks.
