The North West Dragons continued their good form this season into the white ball format with a comprehensive 7-wicket victory today (September 25) against the Warriors in their opening YesPlay Pro20 match of the season at Supersport Park in Centurion.

It was a superb bowling performance that restricted the Warriors to only 128/6 in their 20 overs. Daryn Dupavillon struck with the first ball of the match to get rid of Muhammad Manack for a golden duck.

Sibonelo Makhanya was also out for 0 as the top order struggled against the spin of Wihan Lubbe (3/9) in three overs.

Patrick Kruger made an unbeaten 38 for the Warriors.

The Dragons made light work of the target with left-handers, Ludwich Schuld (33 from 22) and captain, Rubin Hermann (55* from 31 balls) playing solid knocks. Lesiba Ngoepe, another lefty, made 23* (26) as the Dragons reached the target with 27 balls to spare, earning a bonus point in the process.

North West next face Border on Monday, September 28 at Buffalo Park.
