Juweel Park gets beautified
JUKSKEI PARK – Jukskei Park is undergoing a massive cleaning project by residents and companies in the area.
Residents take back Juweel Park bit by bit in Jukskei Park.

Ward 115 councillor Chris Santana explained how residents and businesses in the area have grouped together to clean the park.
“We have started with uprooting all of the alien species from the park and will soon be replacing them with over 200 donated indigenous trees,” said Santana.
The park has changed considerably from February when the floods nearly wiped out the Platina Street bridge.

“It has been great to see all the work that our community has put into our park, you can now actually see the river,” added Santana.
He further explained that City Parks came to the party and helped remove the trees and plantations that the group had removed.
“The park stills needs some work and we will continue to clean, uproot and beautify our area.”
Juweel will continue to be the jewel to Jukskei Park residents.
