Police probe continues after woman found dead in Blairgowrie
Police are still investigating the death of a woman found along Blairgowrie Drive, as residents raise fears of a possible link to a similar recent case.
Police are continuing to investigate the death of a woman whose body was discovered along Blairgowrie Drive late last month.
Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, spokesperson for the police, confirmed: “An inquest has been opened after a female victim was found on Blairgowrie Drive, and police investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

The discovery, made over the last weekend of September, has unsettled many Blairgowrie residents. It comes only a few weeks after another woman’s body was found in a similar state on Barkston Drive, sparking growing concern in the community.

Some residents have expressed fears that the two incidents could be connected, with speculation that a serial offender may be targeting women in the area. However, police have not confirmed any link between the cases and have urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information while the investigations continue.
Authorities have not yet released the woman’s identity or the cause of death.
