Randburg CPF wishes the community a safe and restful holiday season

Randburg CPF urges the community to make use of the Randburg Police Station and report any issues.

As the end of the year approaches, the Randburg Community Policing Forum (CPF) reflects on its work, progress against set goals, and the matters that require attention.

One of their key goals was to further publicise the organisation and initiate fundraising programmes to help cover the non-core costs of the police. This support is vital as the CPF strives to deliver satisfactory service despite budget cuts across government departments.

Mzi Khumalo of the Randburg CPF said that as they reflect, they also want to make the forum’s contact details available again and encourage citizens to make use of the forum as a communication facilitator. “We also welcome any contribution, whether it be financial, going towards services at the Randburg Police Station.”

He commended the volunteers and maintenance team for their work at the station. “They really helped with the plumbing challenges, and the volunteers cleaned and serviced the garden on Volunteer Workday at the police station.”

Khumalo also encouraged the community to access the police station directly for crime and employment matters.

“We also invite them to come join the Wednesday morning devotion and the Bible distribution on Sunday mornings at the Randburg Police Station.” These activities are led by the Divine Intervention group, which is part of the CPF.

He added that the work of the forum is ongoing as the executive committee enters the third year of its tenure. Members of the forum can be identified by their uniform jackets and caps.

“The CPF wishes the Randburg community a safe and restful holiday season. Rest assured, the Randburg SAPS continues to provide its services and has made preparations to keep our community safe as we close off the year.”

The CPF can be contacted through executive member secretary Zenobia Gillion at zenobiagillion.rcpfe@gmail.co and via social media on Facebook at Randburg CPF.
