Shotgun, pistol and revolver recovered at storage unit

Honeydew police are pleased to report the recovery of firearms and ammunition that were found at a storage unit near Zandspruit on July 26.

Spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said the robbery reaction team discovered a pump-action shotgun with 36 live rounds; a 9mm pistol with 186 live rounds and a revolver with 47 live rounds.

Also recovered at the storage unit on Beyers Naudé Drive, were eight rifle rounds.

All this was processed at Honeydew Police Station and kept safe there.
