NOTICE: Unplanned maintanance affects water supply in Randburg and parts of Bryanston

According to Johannesburg Water, the estimated time of restoration will only be communicated once the pipe has been exposed and the material is sourced.

Johannesburg Water has put up a notice for unplanned maintenance happening today [July 22].

Details:

  • Suburbs affected: Ferndale, Strydom Park, Blairgowrie, Bordeaux, Moret, Randburg, Kensington B, parts of Bryanston, and surrounds.
  • Streets affected: All streets.
  • Impact on customers: No water on above mentioned streets and poor water pressure on adjacent streets for the duration of the repairs.
  • Reason for interruption: Repairs to a burst of a 350mm steel pipeline.
  • Alternative water supply: Roaming water tankers will be provided, as and when necessary.
