Captain Michael Erasmus Wins Honeydew CPF Goodwill Shield
For his outstanding service and commitment, Captain Erasmus has been honoured by Honeydew CPF after successfully juggling multiple senior responsibilities throughout a challenging period.
Captain Michael Erasmus of the Honeydew Detective Services has been awarded the prestigious Honeydew CPF Goodwill Shield for his exceptional dedication to duty.
The award was presented during the Sector 2 Community Policing Forum (CPF) engagement meeting. It is given to individuals or teams in the Honeydew policing precinct who go above and beyond in serving the community.
Erasmus was nominated by the Honeydew Police Station’s management team for his outstanding efforts during May. For two full weeks, he served as the sole duty officer while also overseeing the entire detectives’ office, a responsibility usually shared by several senior officers. Despite the challenges, he remained committed and ensured the office continued to function efficiently.

The CPF praised his hard work, describing him as someone who leads by example and is always willing to step in when needed most.
“Captain Erasmus showed great leadership and dedication when his team needed him. We are grateful for his service,” said Michael Steyn, the Honeydew CPF public relations officer.
