If you remember the words to songs like ‘Simply the best’ and ‘Have I told you lately’ then this one’s definitely for you.
Now Music UK presents the Tina and Rod Vegas Tribute Show direct from Vegas featuring Cookie Watkins as Tina Turner and Rob Caudill as Rod Stewart performing versions of hits by Tina Turner and Rod Stewart.
The Tina and Rod Vegas Tribute Show is landing at Silverstar straight from a successful run in Las Vegas, with performances from 13 to 31 December. The show is popular not only because of the hits that will be performed but also because of the impersonators’ uncanny resemblance to the actual artists.
“This is no ordinary tribute show, the act travels globally, ensuring that audiences get the same entertainment experience regardless of where they see the show,” says Silverstar Complex Events Manager, Matthew Cook.
The eighties are remembered for its pop and rock music and are also famously known for its wacky fashions.
Everything was big during this decade, from big hair thanks to hairspray, mullets, huge earrings, faded denim and ripped clothes to shoulder pads, leg warmers, parachute paints and oversized tops.
Back then it was cool to be rocking in torn clothes, whether ripped with scissors or by hand, holes in the knees was considered hip and jackets with the sleeves torn off were all the rage.
Tina Turner entertained fans with hits such as What’s love got to do with it, We don’t need another hero and Private Dancer while Rod Stewart made the ladies swoon from his debut in the early sixties till the present day with songs like Maggie May, Forever Young and Rhythm of my heart.
The two artists, Cookie and Rob, will be performing cover versions of classics made famous by these pop and rock legends.
Both artists have an almost scary resemblance to the actual artists and are often mistaken for them. Tina Turner impersonator Cookie has a regular spot as part of the rotating cast of Las Vegas’ Imperial Palace long-running feature show ‘Legends in Concert’. She is known to perform the best Tina Turner tribute in the world and receives rave reviews wherever she performs.
Rob Caudill was declared in Tutti Legends Rod Stewart edition magazine as the World’s Greatest Rod Stewart tribute artist. He has performed all over the world and gets stopped at airports for autographs. Rob is an amazing entertainer and his voice and look is dead on.
