Men caught pushing bin filled with stolen car parts

Two young men pushing a trolley bin were arrested in the CBD when the police found it full of stolen car parts.

Two men, aged 18 and 23, were arrested in the CBD recently after they were found in possession of car parts they could not account for.

Captain Appel Ernst, the Randfontein Police spokesperson said, “It is alleged Randfontein Police members were conducting normal crime prevention patrols in the CBD, when they saw two men pushing a trolley bin which seemed very heavy. This was in Fedler Street, Randfontein. The members stopped the men and searched them and the bin.

“Inside the trolley bin, they found numerous car parts. The two men were unable to explain how they came into possession of the goods. They were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property and will be appearing in court in due course.”
