Avanté Primary closed until further notice: Former SGB member jumps in to decontaminate

A former member of the School Governing Body at Avanté Primary School voluntarily decontaminated six of their classrooms. The school is currently closed until further notice.

Management of Avanté Primary School praised a former member of the School Governing Body (SGB) for voluntarily decontaminating six of their classrooms on Tuesday, June 22.

Principal Reginah Marule thanked Michael Sediane on behalf of the school and the community for taking the time to ensure that classrooms were decontaminated, particularly amidst a third wave.

We are so grateful for what he has done for us. He did it for free. We want to thank him for showing leadership and leading by example; communities need more people like him,” Marule said.

She added that while the school has been closed until further notice it is important that Covid-19 is kept at bay.

“He truly went above and beyond in protecting and preserving lives. He has indeed set a high standard out there. Thank you very much for your selfless act,” Marule concluded.
