A 41-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man were arrested for housebreaking in Robinpark, Randfontein during the festive season. Two more suspects remain at large.
According to Randfontein Police spokesperson Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, the owner of the house was alerted by his security company, Mapogogo A Mathamaga that his alarm had gone off.
Randfontein Police, together with the security company and members of the community managed to arrest the suspects,” said Sergeant Hendricks.
Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela, the Randfontein Police station commander applauded the police, security company and members of the community for their immediate response to ensure that the culprits were apprehended.
“If we can work hand in hand every day, these crooks won’t stand a chance to get away with crime in our area,” Brigadier Manamela said.
