CPF exco members elected for Bekkersdal

The elections were held in terms of section 19(1) of the South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995, which mandates the CPF to work hand in hand with the police.

Six Community Policing Forum executive committee members were elected for three sectors in the Bekkersdal Police precinct on Wednesday 3 February.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Linkie Lefakane, the elections were held in terms of section 19(1) of the South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995, which mandates the CPF to work hand in hand with the police.

These are the members of the executive committee and their designations:

1. Mzayifane Luthuli – Chairperson

2. Christinah Mpinga – Deputy Chairperson

3. Buyelwa Nteta – Secretary

4. Clement Dlamini – Deputy Secretary

5. Percy Makunga – Treasurer

6. Jabulile Ludidi – Public Relations Officer

On behalf of the West Rand District Commissioner Major General Fred Kekana, Lieutenant Colonel Baratang Ditse welcomed the elected members and further thanked those who took time to avail themselves for this task.
