The West Rand Police are appealing to the community to assist them in finding a man regarding the rape of a woman on her way to work.
West Rand District Police spokesperson Sergeant Kgomotso Mogwere explained that the victim alleged that she was on her way to work at about 17:00 on Sunday March 6 when she was raped. She told police that a maroon bakkie stopped next to her on the Randfontein road in Tarlton.
She did not notice the number plate.

However, he did not do as promised and instead sped off and parked next to a bush before the Greenhills Cemetery where he held her at gunpoint and raped her. Mogwere asked that anyone with information that could help the police would contact them.
