Local church and residents make a difference in town

Approximately 80 black bags of rubbish were collected and 32 potholes were filled during the clean-up.

Connexions Church held a Connexions Cares Clean my Streets and Pothole Patrol campaign on Saturday, July 16 which saw 59 residents come together to clean the streets and fix potholes.

One of the organisers, Wendy De Klerk said approximately 80 black bags of rubbish were collected and 32 potholes were filled. “After the hard work we went back to Connexions Church for well-deserved boerewors rolls and coffee, and some socialising.”

On behalf of the team she thanked their sponsors, Tambotie Mall, Tony’s Meat Market, Aloe Signs, Welrite Steel, Butterfield Bakery, Randgate Pharmacy and Oasis Water, who made the day possible.
