Bekkersdal Clinic revamp gains momentum

Gauteng Health MEC Faith Mazibuko visited the Bekkersdal Clinic to assess ongoing infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving healthcare services.

The Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness, Faith Mazibuko, recently conducted an oversight visit to Bekkersdal Clinic as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare service delivery across the province.

The visit focused on assessing the progress of infrastructure upgrades currently underway at the facility. These improvements are aimed at enhancing the quality of care, addressing capacity challenges, and creating a more efficient, patient-friendly environment for the Bekkersdal community.

During the visit, Mazibuko engaged with facility management and staff to evaluate the pace of construction and identify any potential delays. The oversight also ensured that the upgrades align with provincial standards for healthcare infrastructure and service delivery.

Mazibuko emphasised the importance of maintaining momentum, noting that improved infrastructure is key to delivering dignified and accessible healthcare. She reiterated the department’s commitment to closely monitoring progress to ensure the project is completed within set timeframes.
