One of the beneficiaries, Mapule Rosina Letlhake, said she was overjoyed to finally receive a new home for herself and her family.
Another beneficiary, Collen Motlhabane, who lives with a chronic medical condition, was so overwhelmed with joy that he danced and leapt inside his new home.

Elderly resident Beatrice Manatsa was equally delighted when officials announced her house number, prompting her to exclaim, ‘That’s my brand new home!’ to loud applause from those in attendance.
Residents expressed gratitude for the opportunity to finally own homes, with many describing the occasion as the fulfilment of long-awaited dreams.
