After a fire left Nondumiso homeless, she managed to attract various kind-hearted residents who helped her to rebuild her home. The church decided to help her by donating a door and window frames for her home, clothing for her and her children as well as other necessities that the family might need.

Saint Anne’s Solidarity member Daphney Lekgetho stated this all was possible because Supportive Father Abel Maluleke gave the go-ahead.

“We are still busy collecting donations for the infrastructure of the house as well as the necessities. We will keep donating items until the infrastructure of the shack is complete,” she explained.

Nondumiso’s tragedy touched our hearts when we saw the article in the newspaper.

“That is why we decided to help her recover,” Daphney said.

The church is involved in many charity works, such as helping the elderly and donating supplies to school children.

“We aim to support our community. As soon as we see a person struggling, we make a plan. We feel so much happiness when we help to change an individual’s life. The church’s slogan is ‘To serve the community, church and families’ and we live up to that.”
