According to chairperson Brenda Eloff, the SPCA’s current petrol bill is R20 000 a month. To help curb this bill, the SPCA has put together a hamper. Brenda noted that the hamper includes Easter eggs along with three prizes that can be won.

All residents have to do is pay R25 per ticket and forward the proof of payment to the SPCA. The SPCA will then give residents a number to choose from. The proof of payment, as well as any other enquiries, can be sent to Brenda on 084 505 0613.

Furthermore, Brenda advised residents to be careful during Easter.

People usually go away on holiday during the Easter weekend, leaving their pets alone without food or water. If you decide to go on holiday, make sure you have someone to look after your animals. Do not just leave your animals alone,” she concluded.
