From chained to unshackled: Dog rescued by local animal rescue

A dog that was once chained to a pole is now ready to be received into a loving home after No More Tears rescued it.

Dwarskloof — Stephan Hendricks, director at No More Tears Animal Rescue, received a call from a concerned resident about a dog tied to a pole.

Stephan rushed to the scene, where they noticed the dog was strapped to the pole with a chain and collar.

The chain is used to tie the dog to the pole.

“We found a frightened and helpless boy, abandoned without comfort or care,” volunteer Clarisse Kruger mentioned.

No More Tears asked residents in the area about the dog, however, no one came forward with any information.

The dog is currently at a veterinarian hospital, and Clarisse added that once he has been sterilised, he is free to go. The vet also noted that the dog is in good condition.

“This boy’s story is not over yet. He is now ready to have a forever home. He deserves this second chance at life. He is not up for adoption,” said Clarisse.
