Your bark matters: Attend the SPCA AGM

The SPCA is appealing to all animal lovers and residents to join them at their annual general meeting.

Since Brenda Eloff is stepping down from her position as chairperson, the RandWest SPCA is appealing to the community to partake in this year’s annual general meeting (AGM) to be held on July 19.

Eloff stated in light of her upcoming retirement, residents must join the meeting to help the three remaining committee members decide the fate of the SPCA.

After joining the meeting, residents can then decide if they want to be a part of the managing committee. If residents do decide to become a member, they can vote for who they would like to have as part of the committee staff.

The AGM will primarily consist of financial statistics, whereafter members will converse about the challenges the SPCA faced throughout the year. Further, residents will be allowed to ask questions at the meeting. There is no need to register for participation beforehand.

It would mean a lot to the SPCA if residents could join,” Eloff expressed.

The AGM will be held at the SPCA’s Randfontein branch from 10:00. Eloff is inviting all residents who are interested to partake. Should you wish to attend virtually, send an email to chairman@spcarandwest.co.za.
