No More Tears Rescue pleads for support to save abandoned dog family
Terrified and abandoned, five dogs are clinging to survival in Loumarina. Help No More Tears Animal Rescue build them a haven and give them the future they deserve.
After No More Tears Animal Rescue saw five dogs roaming in a desperate state, they now plan to catch the dogs and give them a second chance at life.
Recently, No More Tears found five dogs who were petrified of human interaction.
According to volunteer Clarisse Kruger, they believe the dogs to be a mother, father and three pups.
She also noted they were most likely dumped and left to fend for themselves.
“They are terrified of people. Just making eye contact sends them running in fear,” she said.
No More Tears has set up a feeding station with blankets in Loumarina, where they were first spotted.
“It’s not a safe place, but it is all we can do right now,” she explained.
A kind-hearted volunteer offered a temporary space to serve as a small camp where the dogs could rest until they were caught. This will help the dogs keep safe until they can receive the necessary medical attention and be rehomed.
However, No More Tears needs the community’s help to get the camp ready. They urgently need fencing, gum poles and a secure gate. She added that before the dogs can get their second chance, all five of them need to receive vet checks, vaccinations, deworming medication and sterilisation.
