‘Kidnapped’ for a cause: You can help set Clarissa free
With veterinary bills sitting at R20 000, No More Tears Animal Rescue is calling on the community to help raise funds and free their volunteer who’s been 'taken hostage'.
No More Tears Animal Rescue volunteer Clarisse Kruger has been kidnapped, and they need the community’s help to raise her R20 000 ‘ransom’.
Clarisse explained in a ploy to cover the organisation’s vet bills, veterinarian Dr Johan Naudé from Randfontein Animal Hospital, has taken her hostage.
“We came up with this idea and thought it was a really good way to raise funds for our vet bills, which are currently R20 000,” said Clarisse.
She is currently being held in a dog kennel, but don’t worry, she does have a blanket, snacks and some furry friends to keep her company.
“We need your help. Let’s raise that money and bring me back to freedom and out of the kennel life. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference,” Clarisse jokingly pleaded.
Donations can be made to Randfontein Animal Hospital’s account or contact No More Tears on 011 412 1010 for more information.
