RCA learners turn entrepreneurs overnight

Recently, RCA held its annual Entrepreneurs Day to allow the learners to take the initiative and manage their own businesses.

Randfontein Christian Academy’s (RCA) recent Entrepreneurs Day made a big impact and young learners learned how to be successful business owners.

“It was very successful. The children enjoyed it and although the weather did not allow us to host it outside as we would have liked, it was still a great success,” expressed vice principal Vanessa Dreyer.

She added there were more than 25 stalls.

Luyolo Magala for example, showcased a variety of toys and delicious doughnuts.

Then, Rea Tsotetsi managed her stall where she offered a unique product – candy salads – where buyers were allowed to build their salads with a variety of candies.

Lucky Tsholo and his mother Lerato Langa sold bubblegum and cotton candy-flavoured soda and decorated the cups with a personalised sticker.

Joané en Mornay Kruger holds their freshly made biltong.

Siblings Joané en Mornay Kruger sold droëwors, biltong and chilli bites which they made themselves. They even said they hunted the animal and shot it themselves.
