Stolen manhole covers a nightmare
"It is a problem the local municipality just cannot address."
I recently read in the herald about the stolen manhole covers across Randfontein and I can imagine that this is a real nightmare for the community.
I have been living in Randfontein my whole life and in recent years this has become a problem that the local municipality can not address.
Surely there must be a way the Randfontein Local Municipality can replace the manhole covers and ensure that they do not get stolen again.
These open manholes pose a serious threat to residents, pedestrians and even motorists. Therefore I urge the municipality to take control of the situation and replace these covers before it results in injury or even fatality.
