Load shedding is frustrating

Load shedding really is becoming an issue because Randfontein Local Municipality do not stick to their schedule.

I live in Ten Acres. When we have no power we also have no water due to the pressure pump. We normally make provision when we know the power will be off. So it is extremely frustrating when it just goes off.

On Wednesday 11 February the power was off for eight hours – from 3pm to 11pm. That evening my husband’s work bakkie was broken into. They stole some really sentimental (irreplaceable) goods as well as the vehicle’s scissor jack. I really don’t see the point.

Today it is stage one as per the news and Eskom’s website, but the power is off, as according to stage two’s schedule. It is not even worth trying to call the municipality as there is no answer. Nobody is accountable for what is going on. Who do we complain to?

It’s obviously impossible to stick to a schedule.
