Randfontein, load shedding, crime and bikinis – they’re all linked

Oh yes, now I see how Randfonteiners work. Mind you I have been calling myself a Randfonteiner more and more often in conversation. I have also developed Randfontein-like notions.

Now, we have statistics of who goes onto our website and who reads what. We have a basic overview of what the town finds interesting. We have now established that Randfontein likes to read about load shedding and crime which is understandable considering these things affect the way in which residents go about their lives every day.

When we send out municipal stories which figuratively have all my blood sweat and tears (yes, I do all the municipal news nobody cares to read) have been poured into and not a single sausage reads. Fair enough. That, too, is understandable but one thing I don’t understand is the other day we send out a story about a 58-year-old car watch who was wearing a bikini.

Oh my, our servers could barely handle all the traffic on the website and this was not just the initial click, oh no! People took a good few hours to get through that article and its 53 second video.

With this new trend in interest in the community I have now established that Randfontein likes to read about load shedding, crime and car watches in bikinis therefore Randfontein would like to read more about criminals wearing bikinis who give out load shedding schedules.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
