What’s really happening at Randfontein’s Infrastructure Department?
The municipality discovered that my water meter is leaking, and that’s why my bill has been so high. A woman tried calling the Infrastructure Department in my presence to report the matter, but they were not answering the phone.
She then advised me to go and report it and they said they’ll attend to it. After a day, I called numerous times for answers, since no one came to check my meter, and still no one answered the phone.
Two days after I went to do follow up, the woman that took my details told me she doesn’t know why people there don’t take the water meter issue seriously, because most water meter issues are never attended to on time – unlike electricity meter issues.
I’m just so angry as it looks as if my bill this month will still be high, because people don’t take their jobs and the residents seriously.
