Your SPCA needs you
We would all immensely appreciate any support you would be willing to offer.
I am a new committee member for the Rand West SPCA.
I am in charge of fundraising, adoptions, social media and general welfare of the animals at our society. I am not a local, in fact I live in Craighall! I heeded the call for needs to be met at the Randwest SPCA and since our new committee was formed at the end of June 2019, there has been a huge turnaround.
We have had a rapid increase in support on social media as well as, specifically, our adoptions. In under two months we have adopted out 34 animals whereas during the previous financial year only nine animals were adopted out.
As the warmer season is approaching we are seeing a rise in our intake of animals, both cats and dogs. I would love to make an appeal to see if you would be willing to sponsor a kennel at our SPCA. You could sponsor a kennel for as little as R150 per month or R1 440 for an entire year.
Alternatively, I have a wish list of things we urgently need to maintain our SPCA. We are especially in need of shade cloth for our dog kennels, as well as flea and tick treatment for our animals. See 67 things they need by clicking on the letters section list.
Operational costs for the Randfontein branch per year is R680 000, and for Westonaria they amount to R531 000, so every single bit helps.
