Medals galore for dancing trio

Dancers repeat their outstanding performances of last year.

Three young local dancers have a great future ahead of them.

The trio recently danced their hearts out at the International Fine Arts Association (IFFA) International Championships SA Finals that took place in Pretoria.

Nikita Putter, 19, Talita Steyn, 11, and Natasha Potas, 9, made it through the IFFA Trials and Semi Finals during August and then participated in the Finals three months ago.

Nikita’s dance styles included Modern, Disco and Freestyle and she was selected to represent the SA Diamond Team in the 2016 International Championships.

Talita did Modern, Disco and Hip Hop and Natasha danced Disco and Freestyle. The dancers received medals for each style completed.

These girls are not new to the dancing scene. Last year Natasha achieved colours for Hip Hop and Disco; Talita and Nikita received colours for Hip Hop, Modern and Disco and these three students represented YPDA (Young Performers Dance Academy) in Barcelona.
