Dance Hub Company produces world champions

They competed against over 5 000 dancers from different countries around the world during the Dance Star World Championships in Croatia.

Dancers from the Dance Hub Company were crowned world champions in various categories during the Dance Star World Championships held in Croatia in May.

What makes their achievement even more impressive is that they competed against over 5 000 dancers from countries around the world.

Company director Khayelihle Dhladhla said Rianell Bezuidenhout is the solo world champion in the hip-hop juniors category while Mpho Phatlanyane and Omphile Mampe took home the title of duet world champions.

Khaya Dhladhla and Lezandre Haywood were also recognised as vice-world champions in the hip-hop duet category whereas Algorithm Crew earned the same title in the hip-hop adult team category.

“Thakgalo Sello earned a respectable sixth place in the solo hip-hop juniors category while Kabelo London placed seventh in the solo hip-hop seniors category. Karabo Sehume and Hayleigh Papier earned fifth place in the duo juniors category, and the Prototype Crew placed eighth in the children’s category.”

He added that the Blueprint Crew also did well and placed 12th in the junior category.

These dancers represented South Africa with pride and flew the flag high after eight months of rigorous training.”
