Teine AGM held: Club looking forward to make their mark in 2024
The Chairperson of the club reflected on club events and said that although they had a good year, they are also looking forward to next year.
Randfontein Rugby Club reflected on the financial year, and their achievements and tabled their plans for 2024 at their AGM held recently.
Chairperson of the club, Johan Cronjè, wasted no time in saying that they had an outstanding year on and off the field.
“We had a very successful year and proudly represented the Golden Lions Rugby Union (GLRU) as a club. We also made history after all four club teams won their respective leagues this season. For the first team, it was a case of back-to-back titles.
“We are currently preparing for the relegation match against Wanderers on March 2, 2024, as this will determine whether we play in a bigger league, namely the Pirates Grand Challenge. It will also be Randfontein Rugby Club’s 75th anniversary next year and the committee, coaches, and players are working extremely hard to make sure we reach our goals for 2024,” said Cronjè.
