Local slapfighter wins super heavyweight slap fight

In a thrilling slap fight, Travis MacGregor finally achieved his dream by claiming the winner's title.

Local slapfighter Travis MacGregor took part in the super heavyweight Punisher Slap Fight #15, where he defeated his opponent, Dewalt Nagel.

Travis explained his game plan was to knock him out in the first round; however, the circumstances were challenging. During the first round, Dewalt received a penalty for lifting and twisting his left foot, which is not permitted in the sport.

This kept Travis focused and reminded him of why he was competing.

When it was Travis’s turn to slap, he said he gave it his all and consequently dislocated his right wrist.

“This really means the world to me, and now I am finally taking the next steps and moving up the ranks. The win validated everything I have been working towards, and it definitely proved a point to my haters,” he stated.

As Travis concentrates on recovery, he faces a long journey to heal his wrist. He also mentioned suffering from a slight concussion, but feels more than ready for the next fight.

He explained he manages the risk of concussive blows by toughening up and absorbing the shots.

Travis plans to keep rising through the ranks and eventually earn the title belt around his waist.
