Toekomsrus rugby clinic develops talent and fosters unity

Toekomsrus Rugby Club's recent clinic fosters team building while enhancing skills and promoting rugby in the community.

Toekomsrus Rugby Club teamed up with Beyond Rugby and Reckless Bears for an action-packed rugby clinic, giving players a chance to sharpen their skills, boost their game knowledge and take their performance to the next level.

Meghan Christians, a member of the club’s management, explained that the clinic successfully developed skills such as ball handling, tackling, tactical understanding and physical fitness, while also fostering team spirit and a deeper understanding of the sport.

“The players participated with great enthusiasm. The day went smoothly, and we are very proud of the outcome. The clinic focused on key skills essential for modern rugby,” said Meghan.

Looking ahead, the club plans to participate in more formal tournaments and leagues, hoping the clinic will provide players with greater exposure and development opportunities.

Meghan thanked everyone involved and invited the community to join the club.

“We welcome anyone passionate about rugby who wants to make a positive change, stay away from crime and drug abuse and help promote the sport. Thanks to our coaches, players, parents and management team – without you, this clinic would not have been possible,” she concluded.
