Teine sweep Wanderers

Wanderers had no answer as Randfontein completed a clean sweep across all divisions.

Randfontein Rugby Club delivered a commanding all-round performance this past Saturday, June 20, during their away fixture against Wanderers Rugby Club, securing victories across all divisions in a dominant display.

The U19 side set the tone early with an emphatic 56–10 victory, showcasing both attacking flair and defensive discipline. The momentum continued in the U21 match, where Randfontein produced another impressive performance to claim a convincing 78–12 win.

These results highlight the club’s consistency across all levels as they continue to establish themselves as a dominant force in the Golden Lions Rugby Union (GLRU) Grand Challenge.

With Northam Wolves suffering a defeat this past week, Randfontein now sit alone at the top of the league standings after nine matches played, further strengthening their position as genuine title contenders this season.

The comprehensive away performance not only boosts confidence within the squad but also sends a strong message to the rest of the league as the competition enters a crucial stage.

There will be a two-week break before Randfontein return to action against West Rand rivals Roodepoort Rugby Club on July 11.
